MIRS wants to assure all measures needed for an efficient and international comparable functioning of our institute. For this purpose we maintenance and develope the Quality management system continually and in accordance with:
- The requirements of ISO 9001– our quality management system is certified by SQS (The Swiss association for Quality and management Systems), the member of IQNet (The International certification Network);
- The requirements of EN ISO IEC 17025 – most of our laboratories almost have the accreditation certificates, some of them are in the accreditation procedures. Accredited areas:
Mass measuring instruments and weighing instruments Volumetric measuring instruments Precious metals Testing of the metrological software
- The requirements of EN ISO IEC 17020 – accredited area:
Control of non autimatic weighting instruments
- The respecting of the legislation, other professional standards and international recommendations; since years 2002 our Metrology Institute has gained two “Recognitions for good practices” from the government on the conferences Good practises in Slovenian public administration for next two areas:
Legal Metrology system arrangement (2002) and Organisation of inspection supervision system in metrology (2006) - The application of criteria of excellence Models. On the basis of periodical self-assessments in accordance of the EFQM Excellence Model and CAF (Common assessment framework) we perform continual improvements in all fields of our Institute.
- The incorporation of external well qualified institutions and laboratories in the operational system of our Institute.
