The "Instruction on ensuring traceability of reference measurement standards in the Republic of Slovenia to international level" is a supplementary document covering the measuring traceability of measurement standards to the international level. The Instruction lays down in detail the conditions and the procedure of ensuring traceability of reference standards in the Republic of Slovenia to the international level.

The principal criteria for the selection are:

• sufficient national needs for calibrations and measurement in the selected quantity,
• operating with the best measuring capabilities in the country,
• accreditation of the laboratory concerned,
• ability of performing necessary scope of work at disseminating traceability.
