- Gathering and distribution of research potentials based on fundamental and consequently also applicable research in Europe.

- Management in Steering Committee (prof. dr. Drnovšek - member) - strategy and supervision,
- iMERA meetings: operative preparing and attending of project program,
- Performing of specific project sub joints, where Metrology Institute is resposible for coordination in management of common training and mobility of experts in the field of metrology in Europe,
- Workshops and programme conferences.

European Metrology Research Programme (EMRP) launch event, 12. February 2008, Bled, Slovenia EMRP Launch event was organised within iMERA (Implementing metrology in the European Research Area) project in Bled on 12. February 2008.
Mrs. Mojca Kucler Dolinar, Ministry of Higer Education, Science and Technology and dr. Nineta Majcen, Director of Metrology Institute of the Republic of Slovenia opened the event, that represents a cornerstone of metrology Article 169 proposal.
