Metrology in chemistry at the international metrology BIPM summer school 2008

Nineta Majcen (Metrology institute of the Republic of Slovenia) and
Philip Taylor (Institute for Reference Materials and Measurements, have been invited to prepare and run the workshop on
metrology in chemistry for over 90 participants, mainly young staff
members at start of their carreer, coming from national metrology institutes from all around the world. The authors have designed the workshop as an interactive multimedia event focusing on differences between measurements in chemistry and physics, particularly at the level of testing laboratories.
Differences which metrology institutes should keep in mind, in case they
want to provide a useful service to chemical and bionanalytical testing

The format of the workshop was recognised as original approach in
enhancing of mutual understanding between metrologists working in new and traditional measurement areas.
